Riverside Public Utilities formed a Drought Action Team to respond to the drought through numerous and varied activities including reaching out to more than 100,000 households to provide conservation information. Riverside residents have reduced water consumption by 8% since July 2014 and removed more than 1.8 million square-feet of turf, which is expected to save 75 million gallons of water over the next 10 years.
