Golden Hills CSD restricts outdoor watering to three days per week (odd numbered homes to Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday; even numbered homes to Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.) The district enforces all mandatory statewide water use restrictions and requires leaks to be immediately repaired and water in ornamental fountains to be re-circulated.
Big Bear City CSD provides customers with information on how to save water both indoors and outdoors. The district also conducts water waste patrols with an emphasis on educating the public.
CCWD has budgeted $30,000 for water conservation outreach including community events, TV, radio and direct mail campaigns. The district also redesigned its website and launched an expanded water conservation rebate program.
El Dorado Irrigation District in response to the drought continues to utilize existing budget through rebate programs, customer education, water audits, email and mailers, website notifications, and public outreach speaking engagements.
TUD hosts Community Drought forums with local agency partners including the County of Tuolumne Office of Emergency Services, the agricultural commissioner, and Environmental Health to explain the impact to for wells and Twain Harte Community Services District. TUD's Community Water Council also examines long-term water supply solutions for the district.
